agency for regulation and protection of the environment.
They will be one of the competent authorities responsible
for implementation of the Water Framework Directive.
|SNIFFER (Scotland and Northern Ireland Forum for
Environmental Research) is a company limited
by guarantee with charitable status that directs and
manages research in water, waste, air and the environment.
The current membership of SNIFFER is EHS, SEPA, FC,
SNH, and the Scottish Executive.
||THAMES WATER UTILITIES LTD are
responsible for water and waste treatment in the Thames
river basin. They have a keen interest in developing sustainable
water resource strategies for the future.

organisation, is a registered charity headquartered in
Switzerland. WWF's mission is to stop the degradation

the world's biodiversity; ensuring that the use of renewable

WWF's European Freshwater Programme is the Wise Use of
Floodplains partner. This Programme aims to conserve and
restore the functions and integrity of freshwater ecosystems
for the benefit of all life."
